The Ambulatory Surgical Center of Stevens Point is a free standing, independent surgical center which opened in August of 2006 and specializes in same day procedures which are procedures which the patients go home on the same day of the procedure. We perform a variety of procedures encompassing the specialties of general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry, ophthalmology, urology, and pain management. In July, 2011, we started participating in a national patient satisfaction survey which compares our patient satisfaction with 470 ambulatory surgical centers across the United States. From July through December 2011 we had an overall score of 97% compared to the national average of 93%. In addition, we have scored in the top 10 in the following categories consistently: Anesthesia Staff Courtesy, Anesthesia Staff Attention & Availability, Surgeon Courtesy, Nursing Staff Concern for Comfort, Nursing Staff Knowledge and Competence, Recovery Staff Courtesy & Facility Cleanliness.
