The Ambulatory Surgical Center of Stevens Point (ASC) reached a major milestone in performing surgery on their 10,000th patient. The surgical center is one of 5,800 ambulatory surgical centers across the country performing an estimated 30 million procedures nationwide.

Hi! My name is Linda. I’m the Nurse Manager at the ASC of Stevens Point. I joined the ASC patient care team in April 2016, just in time to help celebrate the Center’s 10 year anniversary.

Life is a journey! I would have never guessed my journey in life would have led me to become the Administrator of the ASC. I started my career with an Associate Degree in Medical Records.

I went into the nursing field as my second career. I was actually a licensed Cosmetologist for several years right out of high school. It was not until I had my first child with a complicated delivery did I realize the difference a nurse can make.
